Kinghorn riviera

It’s going to be a scorcher. I spend the morning pruning and espaliering plum trees in the garden. It’s cool enough when I start, but heats up as the morning wears on.

A quick trip to Peebles for supplies: silicon & chick crumb. I drop a hen box with Bill at Bonnington to get some rescue layers before heading to Fife.

The tide is in. There are loads of families on what’s left of Kinghorn beach, crammed into the remaining strip of sand, getting narrower by the minute.

Claire’s assembling a book case, which we finish in short order. The worktop doesn’t quite fit, because geometry - the room is a parallelogram not a rectangle. Harrumph.

A walk along the coast to Kirkcaldy and then stir fry. We watch David Attenborough’s climate change documentary as night falls. And then I head back across the water.
