Ghosting along

An early start to the day as the daughter and invalid s-i-l (football injury - a dislocated ankle) arrived to use our shower. Then an enjoyable sit in the nook in the sunshine and I served up bacon rolls before they had to leg it northwards for the weekend.
A day of much pottering about, including helping on a couple of masts, before we headed to the cinema to see The Sisters Brothers, cursing our stupidity at buying tickets a few days ago when we could have been enjoying the evening sitting out in the sunshine. I believe that we could have written them off as sunk costs, which my learned accountant friend says is perfectly acceptable. You spend the money and get nothing, but that’s ok because it’s been spent. Or something.
And a good looking film it is, with some great playing on the usual western tropes (I think that’s correct) with some magical strangeness in the mix.
And it’s going to be actually hot tomorrow!
