The Lozarithm Lens

The Old Forge (Sunday 21st April 2019)

Having noticed some wild dead nettle on my wondering wanders I had planned to photograph the yellow dead nettle that carpets much of my woodland garden for the Wild Flower Challenge. When I came to it, though, I realised that being variegated it was clearly a cultivated variety and not wild (see Extra).

Instead, here are some bluebells, growing in a different place to those that have always been here. I'm not sure whether these have spread naturally or are among last year's additions to the garden.  With thanks to Miranda1008 for hosting.

In other news, both the apple and the crab apple have blossomed since yesterday and the maple in the central round bed is bursting into salmon pink leaf.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Scott Walker - Light (1999)
with the Paris Philharmonic Orchestra/Brian Gascoigne
There was quite a lengthy tribute to Scott Walker, who died of cancer on March 22nd, on today's Stuart Maconie's Freak Zone, and he ended the programme with this beautiful piece from his score to Leos Carax's 1999 film Pola X.
