The Lozarithm Lens

The Old Forge (Tuesday 21st April 2020)

While Smokey was at the vets I had a walk around the woodland garden, which is changing daily at the moment as new plants and flowers spring up and the blossom comes and goes on various trees. These forget-me-nots have sprung up by the driveway patch at the top of the drive of their own accord, and so are suitable for Miranda1008's Wildflower Week.

One of Smokey's inner eyelids had not retracted the day before and was still obscuring his eye. It seemed to be bothering him, so I had booked him in to be looked at. When I heard from the vets a little later the news was not good. He'd been found to have some kind of growth in his middle ear canal, and it was this pressure on his eye that had caused the problem. They don't know yet what the mass consists of; obviously one hopes it is something benign. The good news is he is putting weight back on and has regained his appetite today.

With thanks to Miranda1008 for hosting Wildflower Week.
