Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Blue bells?

It's been another stunning day here in Edinburgh.
The temperature in the back garden was well over the published 23', although there was a slight breeze which made it very pleasant.
The day started with our Easter service which was, for us, very well attended with 55 in the congregation, lovely hymns and music and the beautiful flowers.
I Picked up A and the pug and brought them round to ours where we were joined by K,J and the girls. Our traditional Easter egg hunt in the afternoon after I woke from her nap. The teacher in me to the fore, the girls collect eggs and then have to match an egg to a picture of each member of the family. A bit like chocolate lotto. They get less chocolate and yet don't mind giving it away as the whole point was to find an egg for everybody. Result! Well done Easter bunny.
We had a lovely roast for dinner no paschal lamb though, we had roast beef, well I never could resist a bargain.
After everybody had gone home C and I went out for a walk on the cycle path, lots of bluebells in evidence, but I rather liked this isolated but very healthy looking clump of white ones.
16277 steps today and 4 days out of 4.
Happy Easter to you all and thanks for sharing my journal.
Looking forward to a Blip meet tomorrow with Houseonahill6, Limoniad and Pleach at the botanics.
