Sgwarnog: In the Field

Workhouse

Today I was sent to the workhouse, or at least St. Luke's Hospital, which was formerly the Bradford Union Workhouse, or just House as they more sensitively called it in its later years (hence the BUH). It was also a key war hospital during WW1 (the article on second link being authored by Mrs Sgwarnog.)

Today I was getting physio for my knees, which hopefully will lead to me stengthening them rather than grumbling about them as I've been doing for the past few years. Amongst other things, this involved my first ever encounter with a Swiss Ball, but I'm not sure I'll be trying that one at home.

A dull photograph from a dull, rainy day, but it helps to tell the story.
