Puget Sound White-crowned Sparrow

This lone little sparrow came to visit me today....a new bird for me. I'm hoping I have identified it correctly, but it has a definite yellow beak nd a striped back. It's a very raining windy day....finished up my Christmas shopping this morning, and we are joining friends for our annual Christmas dinner downtown which is always fun.

(Note from Greg Gillson, a birder here in Oregon: It appears to be a very dull first year Puget Sound White-crowned Sparrow. The central crown stripe is so streaky that it looks quite a bit like first year Golden-crowned Sparrow. But the yellow bill is a feature of our local White-crowned.)
