Sorry to everyone who commented on this yesterday. My stupid camera had the wrong time on it and this originally uploaded for the 21st! Time zone hell!
Anyway....

Flew at 8.30
4 hours in the airport at Moscow involving changing my second flight which had been booked for tomorrow by mistake!!!
Lunch at Paprika my favourite Airport restaurant.
Flew to Saratov on a YAK 42 old Soviet aircraft!! You have to bow to get onboard and economy passengers have to exit down steps at the back!!
-15 here brrrr, ancient baggage carousel (just the one) outside!!!
Anyway met by lovely Constantine, Jane and Katherine and taken for dinner (sushi) it was Jane's 19th Birthday so I made her drink wine!
The owner of the club Alexey Kalishnikov who is actually a famous hunter and his lovely son of the same name came to say hi along with Vladimir who studied in Dublin for 3 years.
After dinner Vladimir, Alexey Jnr and Jane took me to the Hotel stopping on the banks of the Volga where I declined Alexey's invitation to walk on it!!!!!
Also passed some lovely buildings and churches, looking forward to seeing it all in the daylight!
Bought Dawn French's new book Oh Dear Silvia at the Airport, liking it so far.
Also been listening to the radio show I did on Tuesday for Gaydar, it's so funny, will post a link soon!
