a lifetime burning

There's gold in them thar hills

Storm Hannah is still with us a the moment.  Sudden heavy downpours are interspersed with very strong winds; and the occasional rainbow.

We tried hanging some washing out earlier but gave it up as a bad job.  In theory at least, if you can keep an eye out for rain and time it correctly, your washing would dry pretty quickly between the downpours.  But only if you can keep the laundry on the line and as it turned out not even multiple pegs would achieve that :-)

Fortunately I saw what was happening just in time and raced outside in time to retrieve the errant laundry before it made good its escape into the next door neighbours' gardens, or even further afield.
