Carquinez Bridge

We have finally gathered ourselves together and come to Berkeley to visit. This is a shot of the bridge crossing the Carquinez Strait at the top of the San Francisco Bay.

We got a text as we were passing near Tim’s house saying that they had won their soccer game 6-1 and grandson Owen scored two goals.

Continuing on to Berkeley we were struck yet again by the increased traffic and decreased numbers of places to park. We had a good time walking down College Avenue which is four blocks from our old house and was our neighborhood. Many shops have changed but even more remain the same

We’ve known Beth and Norman, the people we are staying with since Tim and their son Jake were in kindergarten, so we’ve had a lot of catching up to do.

Maybe tomorrow we’ll go by our old house, although we’ve heard it’s looking a bit neglected....

I will be neglecting comments even more than usual until we get home.....
