Married!

Tonight we played at Danielle’s 40th birthday party. It was always going to be a bit of an odd gig as we had limited space and the venue had a pa that we had to use but had very little control over. I was therefore a little concerned that we’d be very quiet or muddy or something.

We set up, Jon helped us soundcheck and the sound was fine, a little odd in places but fine.

The guests turned up, and just before we started playing Danielle asked to say a few words. She is a very funny lady and so did the usual thanking people for coming, we toasted her dad who sadly died last year and then.....
Then...
She told us all that she and Jon had got married yesterday.... stone the crows, how brilliant. ( the answer is very brilliant ).

So we played for a bit, it was good although I might had played a song in a bit of the wrong key.

After we finished I stayed at the party as H and I been going before we were asked to play. It was good to catchup with the newly married Dyers and a load of other old friends. I’ll put and extra on of Jon, Ali, H, me and James. We’ve all known each other the longest.
