Red Belly

A gander around Whitesburg Preserve on a gorgeous but nippy Spring day rendered nothing at the marsh hide, but lots of water swishing in the river, turtles sunbathing in the murky pond, a butterfly, wildflowers and an owl in the woods with other birds, and this young red-bellied woodpecker.  I only encountered one person, a nice woman walking two dogs who didn't jump on me with muddy paws.  Thank you.

Our neighbor Ward threw a casual party for the couple who bought his house.  It was great to see mostly everyone on our street of 21 homes stopped by to welcome them.

We dodged the snow that was forecast. Hooray!
