Make Every Day Memorable

Slater Bridge - Little Langdale Valley

We've had a brilliant and exhausting day.
Up and out of the cottage by 6.30 am. We headed to White Moss for a walk around Rydal Water. The bluebells both on the fells and in the woods, were beautiful. Im intending to go back again when the light is better.
A birthday (jorgiesdad) breakfast at Chesters was exceptional and we're definately going back there again!
This afternoon we walked another few miles from Hodge Close into Little Langdale Valley and back up again, clocking up 18,000 steps.
Goodness knows how many miles Jorgie has run.
We've seen loads of newborn Herdwick sheep, jet black bundles of wool with white ears.
Im struggling to post this on the Birthday Boy's laptop as half the letters are missing from the keyboard....and Im struggling to stay awake so I'll just add that Slater Bridge is a favourite location of mine in this beautiful place.
Borrowdale beckons tomorrow
