Open Day at OGH

Here's the real reason behind my Blip lethargy at the moment.

Yesterday we had a massive Open Day at OGH, as a part of South Australian History Month event.

It was fantastically successful, with more than 200 people through the gate.  Here's me discoursing to the Minister for the Environment, the Hon David Speirs and his mother Mrs. Mary Speirs.

This is the third visit the Minister has made within the past 3 months, and this one was a private visit which was lovely.  Rower and I got a chance to sit down with him for a chat over a cup of tea, and we found him to be charming and not at all politician-like.

It was hard work yesterday but it was worth every minute.  The public was appreciative and we didn't get a single negative comment.  Plus we made a net profit of around $1500 which is not to be sneezed at.
