Choices!

For once I had a selection of potential blips and had to choose!!

A full on day...including some mundane tasks and an enjoyable walk with all three girls, during which I heard the ‘ice cream’ van chimes announcing its presence. The first time this year.

The chimes, a reminder of my childhood, when the regular van would visit our street at approximately 11am on a Sunday morning. These were days long before we had a fridge in the house, let alone a freezer. Pocket money was checked to see if I could afford an ice cream cone and if Dad was at home there was a chance of him topping up the kitty to get a 99 (the one with the added chocolate flake).

We dropped L & P off, before heading to R’s for dinner. An early birthday treat for B and our first proper posh meal at R’s since she moved in almost a year ago. It is good to reflect on how much work we have done and a relief to know that the last bit is out of our skills range and will have to be done by someone else. Amber came with us and was very well behaved.

A last surprise was found in the garden when Amber did her final circuit before bed. A chunky hedgehog was on the path at the side of the house. He was unintentionally cornered as there is no exit, but we left him to find his way out later. He looks to be in good condition. I’ve put some pictures in extras.
