Its the Way It Is

The reason

for my visit here. To mark 500 years since his death, 12 pieces of the original work of Leonardo da Vinci are being exhibited at the Ulster Museum in Belfast. Wonderful to see them, and worth the journey. 2 friends travelled north from Dublin this morning to join us and we were all impressed.

Another ongoing body of work on display is called Women Making Her Mark (til Oct 2019). It’s showing the work of women who specialised in wood printing and engraving. I really enjoyed this and my extra is by Lady Mabel Annesley

Then we had a lovely rainy walk through the Botanic Gardens.

We got the bus back into the centre of Belfast and the talk was about where we would have dinner this evening. I happened to glance upwards and I smiled to myself when I spotted this seahorse on top of a building.

A day of art and flowers and palms and the tropical ravine. And a seahorse!
