The Irony Was Not Lost On Us...

I didn’t think I would have the chance to catch the Tour De Yorkshire this year as I had an afternoon meeting at work that was due to go on, but I was lucky in the unusual situation that we were all in agreement with what we wanted to achieve and the meeting finished early.

Just in time, I was able to meet Mr Kit and Dad (who has travelled up to stay until next week) at the next village from ours to watch the race. The irony of the fact that it was chucking it down and we all just got very wet as we were in the village called Warter was not lost on us! If you were in any doubt about how wet it was, Mr Kit is showing you in the extras.

It was great to watch and to cheer on Cavendish and Froome but there is uproar in Pocklington as once again just as the peloton reached the town the ITV4 coverage went to the adverts and missed televising the wonderful bunting, decorations and displays put up in celebration.
