Lei Day

While most places celebrate May Day (though what's there to celebrate for workers these days?!), Hawaii celebrates Lei Day, a day of music, performances and leis. There is a lei competition, and those on show were stunningly beautiful. It was a fun day, we met up with Jerry who showed us around, and then we went up to his tiny apartment overlooking the park and the ocean for dinner and music. Jerry is such a wonderful person, wise, crazy and lots of fun. And a wonderful musician!

That's Jerry and me under a banyan tree, and a photo of Tiziano with Jerry too.
