Life’s a beach

Last night finished very much later than planned, when some innocuous card games went rogue. Later, there was much political debate, with Mr B teaching CarbBoy about UK politics, with shouted corrections from my and TallGirl’s respective beds. She eventually gave up and joined in, occasionally appearing in order to collapse onto my bed and complain about how WRONG he is, and the patriarchy, and all that.

Late start. But we were all up and duly caffeined in time to pack and leave the apartment. V windy on the beach, but we found a sheltered spot, and Mr B found a sheltered wine shop! Later, a last lunch at ‘our’ restaurant, where we are now greeted as old friends and showered (not literally) with free drinks.

Then another flop on the beach, watching the crazy kite surfers fly by. CarbBoy found a good stone and started making flints, as you do.

When the sun went in, we piled into the car and headed north. At Bandito Land, à forensic strike on our favourite supermarket, then some truly astonishing car jenga by Mr B to get an entire trolley load into an already full car, and off home through the wind and the squally rain to the damp and dreich Tarn. Only a brief stay for me - more travels tomorrow!
