Holding Back Time

With each passing year the earth forming the banks is slowly being eroded and sucked into the lake. All that stems the tide are a few rocks here and there and the vegetation. Today has been rainy and overcast, so I had to dodge raindrops and consequently didn't venture too far.

In the end I quite liked this scene, the rich colour of the wet rock contrasting nicely with the green algae and grass. The colour of the reeds repeats that of the rock as well and I liked that a few blades of grass overlapped the rock.
