Hogganfield Loch

A morning and early afternoon spent writing my sermon for Sunday morning's church service, followed by a drive down to Hogganfield Loch in Millerston. I was expecting to see some young birds, cygnets, goslings, ducklings, etc but was surprised and disappointed in that regard.

Plenty of swans on nests, and sadly a few abandoned nests, but the nearest I came was the young of the local cormorant bobbing around.
