Stepping Out .....

....... across the River Hodder.

That was the morning, before lunch (kipper, granary bread and butter - always great).

Afternoon was the Langdon Valley. Heather and bilberry covered slopes (extra). Our first cuckoo of the year, all three hirundines, lots of willow warblers and stonechats, and on our way back the first swift of the year.

So a good day.
