Reflecting...

“The Cambridge American Cemetery site in England, 30.5 acres in total, was donated by the University of Cambridge... The cemetery contains the remains of 3,811 of our war dead; 5,127 names are recorded on the Walls of the Missing... Most died in the Battle of the Atlantic or in the strategic air bombardment of northwest Europe.” https://www.abmc.gov/cemeteries-memorials/europe/cambridge-american-cemetery

Not your usual tourist attraction, but the visitor centre at the Cambridge American Cemetery, chronicling the development of WWII, was very interesting, and the cemetery itself was a very moving experience...

Then a very contrasting visit to Grantchester and to the Orchard Tea Gardens, for a Cream Tea amongst the Apple Blossom...

(Thank you for your kind comments and stars, will catch up with you all on my return home...)
