Coming Down In Smoke

I took MrQ and Ollie dog to the first flying display of the season at The Shuttleworth Collection. It was absolutely freezing when we arrived and MrQ wasn't amused but luckily it got slightly warmer as the afternoon wore on. We were very fortunate that it didn't rain.

I very much enjoyed seeing and photographing the planes in flight. My favourite was the Catalina flying boat (extras) but I've chosen the 1918 Avro 504K for my main image as I loved the way it spluttered and smoked as it came into land. I think this is normal as the pilot has to cut the engine.
