So blue ...

I've been taking so many photos of bluebells en masse, under trees and up glens, but most of the results don't really give the vivid deep blue of the native plant - at once a more delicate-seeming flower than the hybrid Spanish bluebells in my garden but with a considerably more amazing colour. So I stuck my phone into a clump of them by the roadside today ...

Other than that it was the first day of a new era in our church - our new Rector's first service. It's a lovely feeling to realise all will be well when an interregnum ends, to feel that the hands taking over the reins are assured and sensitive. There was a bit of a lunch party afterwards - there was an item of Vestry business to be dealt with (two minutes) but mainly it was food and wine and conversation. 

And then, after all that, there was Line of Duty ...
