Wildlife (and a beach walk)

Late start after a very late night, and MrM drove off to play guitar at a gig just across the Border. After sorting out some paperwork, I filled the remaining gaps around the woodwork in the living room, and applied knot seal to the decorative wood. And, feeling the need to get outside for a bit, spent an hour working in the 'yard.

Neither of us felt like preparing food (or washing up) when MrM arrived back, so we went down to Alnwick (via the scenic route...) for a meal at the Oak. Saw lots of wildlife on the way there, including this beautiful hare, and had to stop the car several times to avoid hitting kamikaze pheasants and partridges that saw no sense in hurrying off the road!

Later, a very pleasant stroll on the beach (extra) at Boulmer. A huge number of seabirds on the shoreline and dunes, including lots of shelducks, and a couple of big herons. Walked further than we realised, and it was getting dark by the time we got back to the car...
