MonoMonday: Rooftops by the Tyne

Nickimags888 is kindly hosting MonoMonday this month, and has asked for blips of rooftops today.

We took Son#1 to the station this morning, following his visit here this weekend. This gave us the chance to look for some rooftop views near the castle. We chose this one: there's a range of different sorts of roof, along with a nice old streetlamp - and a passing seagull kindly decided to photobomb the picture which we thought added a bit of interest. The Tyne Bridge in the background puts the photo in context.

Following the amazingly good bank holiday weather we had at Easter, you can see that the weather gods haven't managed to produce similar weather for today's Mayday holiday! (The rain did stop while I was taking this photo though.)
