Another rainy night

I heard on the radio today that if you just think of rain as snow that has warmed up a bit it doesnt seem as bad.
Well, that doesnt work. It seems just as cold and miserable.
Spent today tidying up for Mother-in-laws arrival, making more mince pies and trifles and general pottering about.
