Nymans

We had a very lazy start to the day, I caught up on Blip and after brunch we decided to go to Nymans en-route to Crawley to pick up the BMW.

We spent an hour or so wandering round the gardens and the highlight of the visit was the wisteria, not only growing up the house, but also this little old shack which is now a second hand bookshop.  My 'old man' was stood checking out some books when I took this.

We then drove on to Crawley, found the car and were pleased to find that it started up without any problem.  The story behind the gifted car is that Fawad used to live in Crawley, but last year moved to Australia with his family.  He travels worldwide all the time and kept the car for the odd occasion that he was in the UK but it's become an expense that he doesn't need, costing him money in insurance, tax, parking and then of course he has to keep it MOT'd.  It would be difficult for him to sell it from Australia, and he just wanted to get rid of it, hence his offer to Alan. So we said we'd pick it up and park it on our drive until Fawad is back in the UK in July at which point we can sort out any paperwork.  It's 12 years old, although it's only done 68,000 miles and in the last 5 years has only done 12,000 but Alan's undecided as to whether we'll keep it, we may just sell it.

Once home we took the boys out for a walk and then I potted some more plants, made my butternut squash lasagne for dinner and chatted to Diane about the plans for my trip to Scotland later this week.
