A bit of a tight squeeze!

The weather has been rather dismal today ... the gardens love the rain but these goslings were not quite so happy!

No matter how hard they tried there just wasn't room for them all under the spreading wings. All these little ones are more than one family ...... Greylags adopt a kind of nursery arrangement and most of the youngsters keep together.

I rather like the wee one who was on 'look out' duty.

Eventually the female had had enough and stood up .... the extra photo shows just how many goslings she was trying to shelter.
