At Staunton Harold

Len, Basil and I drove to Staunton Harold this afternoon because it's OAP day at the garden centre with 10% off.

But first, we walked down to the lake where coots were madly chasing each other and the lily pads are emerging. There was a swan in the rushes, sitting on her nest. Not in a good position for a photo but one photographer bearing a very long lens, had a go.

Basil rushed madly up and down the shore line between Len and me.

Went to pick out plants for the containers. Not anywhere such as good choice as at Thornton but at least there was a discount and we could take Basil on the premises.

Afterwards, tea and toasted sandwiches in the Peach House restaurant.
