Rose in a Gin Bottle

The guests left this morning and it all feels a bit empty.

Poem by Wendell Berry:

Sit and be quiet. In a while
the red berries, now in shadow,
will be picked out by the sun.

In this case, the pink rose, imperfect and beautiful.

Gratefuls:
- for our friends, Jan and Keith, good ones
- space to sit and be quiet
- Fakir, who made me plant these roses last Spring
