Cold and really cold

It was cold waiting in Newcastle Station for the train back to Alnmouth. But not nearly as cold as it was 20,000 years ago when people were living in an Ice Age - snow for nine months of the year! And yet they, not only managed to survive, but they also made the most wonderful cave paintings.

Another excellent talk on what we currently know about the people of European prehistory. We are steadily moving forward, just a few thousands of years at a time, following our hunter-gatherer ancestors.

The floor was not wet, just very shiny.
And that is Newcastle's castle..
