Slow

Daphne retusa, over twenty years old but still only a foot high.  This year it is flowering better than ever before, sweet scented ..... if you get down on your knees!  Often confused in horticulture with the similar Daphne tangutica but that one will make a shrub four feet or more high and across in just a few years.  Daphne retusa only does things slowly.  We might all learn something from it.

After a long drive home last night today should have been a recovery day.  It was in a way, I spent four hours recovering the allotment from weeds and planting swede seed plus celeriac plants.  Post lunch I cut the grass at home and then found I felt like a snooze .... so I did.  zzz
