Threatening

After some light overnight rain the wind had died down and the haze had cleared too, so we decided to go up Bute’s highest point, Windy Hill. It’s a Marilyn at the northern end of the island and had been partly affected by the fire the previous weekend. The view from the top is the extra and shows the trig point and the view of Arran. We left on the midday ferry to Wemyss Bay, where we had a look at the amazing Victorian train station where the people from Glasgow got off the train to go to Rothesay for the fair fortnight. We then drove slightly north to Lunderston Bay for lunch. By now the weather was looking more threatening so I decided the blip should be the menacing clouds over Arran.

Yesterday’s blip.
