Day 33 – Eider

We went for a cycle this afternoon down to Cramond, on the roads, and then dodging and weaving our way along the promenade. There were heaps of wee people and their parent(s) out enjoying the fine weather. We chose to go west to east so were into a rather Baltic breeze that cooled hands fairly effectively, but it was rather better just away from the coast. We went along to Leith and saw a number of Eiders, mostly male, sitting on a wooden boom that probably stops rubbish coming out from the Water of Leith. Eiders are fine looking birds and he made a good blip.

Best large.
