Must be Christmas

I missed my train today, by mere seconds - it left as I walked onto the platform after a very slow bus trip to the station. And by some actual miracle the ticket office lady was wonderfully nice and gave me a 'permit to travel' so I could keep using my advance non-refundable/changeable tickets without having to pay for more. I don't think I've ever heard of them not forcing someone to pay for a new ticket. Hallelujah!!!

Made it to my brother's, and we've just spent some quality time working out what's on tv this Christmas. Hurrah!
