A canal in The Netherlands

We were making good time, due in Hoek van Holland to catch the evening sailing.  So we decided to find a restaurant, and eat an early dinner, rather than pay the extortionate prices on the ferry.

Google Maps pointed us towards a little village called De Lier, where we had a few problems parking the car and trailer, but then found a nice little restaurant.  When we came back to the car, I thought a view of the canal near our parking spot would make a nice blip.  I was so busy concentrating on the photo I tripped over a kerb, and nearly ended up in the water!

Now in the bar on the ferry, drinking wine, using free WiFi, watching the boats go by.  It's been an interesting trip, but we're looking forward to sleeping in our own bed tomorrow evening, and knuckling down to the gardening.
