Sumburgh Puffin

My goal (when the alarm went off at 03:30 this morning) was to get my first puffin blip of the season.

A very smooth journey north via Heathrow and Aberdeen meant I was up at Sumburgh Head by midday.

It's been a  beautiful calm sunny day at the south end of Shetland (see the extras), but perhaps not quite warm enough to lure lots of puffins out onto the cliff tops.  There were, however, a few volunteers ready to pose for my blip.
