Red Arrows

Some years ago, Beloved had to have an operation which meant her having to take some time off work. She used to fill part of the day having a ferkle on the computer.

This was around 2012 I think, when the run way at RAF Scampton was being resurfaced, so the Red Arrows had to decamp to either Cranwell or Conningsby, I can't remember which.

Everyday, they flew from wherever to Scampton airspace to practice. Beloved spent ages trying to get photos of them as they passed the back of our house, with no luck.

Half jokingly she emailed them and asked them to slow down as they passed so she could take some pictures.

To their credit, she received a reply, stating that this was not possible, but if she let them have her address they would send her some pictures.

These are the pictures that she received not long after. They have sat in an envelope for the last 6 years or so, but now I have dug them out and framed them and I am going to put them on the wall along with my other RA picture.
