Searched for a parking space, but when I still couldn't find a spot 7 blocks away from home, I admitted the defeat and drove the car back to my mom's, intending to take a cab home and have a quiet dinner. But my mom was there with friends, and they invited me to join them. Lovely time.

All in all, a pretty good day!
