Traveling to San Diego

We are embarking on a quick trip (one week) to visit our daughter in San Diego, CA. Normally that would entail flying into LAX and then driving the two+ hours south. This time we found a flight direct from Zihuatanejo to Tijuana from where we can walk across a bridge specially constructed to get us into the United States without the long lines are the usual border crossing. I think this is where the Colorado River enters the Gulf of California. As National Geographic Magazine showed last year, there is no water left at this point having been drained by all the states it runs through, so this is what it looks like from 35,000 feet.
