Early Purple Orchid at Pye Flatt Meadow

A chance to enjoy the sunshine and lunch today.  We started in Royston having our feet done and while Ann had hers done I walked down to have a look at the church which is very much in the style of a number of others in this part of Yorkshire.  Then, as we were driving home near Cannon Hall we decided to call in for a late lunch and buying a few things from the farm shop.  We finished off the afternoon with a trip to Pye Flatt Meadows to see how the flowers were coming along.  We found a few Early Purple Orchids, and the wild pea plant BITTER VETCHLING Lathyrus linifolius coming along very prolifically.
