St Bees

Back-blip

The weather was gorgeous today so we headed for the coast. Went to St Bees, the official start of the Coast to Coast long distance footpath and had a walk along the beach and then back along the cliffs. The sea thrift and wild flowers were stunning.

Went on to Whitehaven, a place we both love, had lunch in the Beacon Cafe and then had a wander round in the sunshine taking loads of photos.

Called for a pint at The Horse and Farrier at Threlkeld on the way back to base and was horrified that I only had a few pence change from a tenner! The Lakes are getting as bad as that London!
