Hôtel des Invalides

Chilly morning in Paris, a blue sky day temperatures warmed up by 12 noon!
This is building is all things military, also the tomb of Napoleon, the area was cordoned off today with many military personnel and Monsieur Macron leading the tribute to the two French commando soldiers killed in Nigeria rescuing hostages.
Nearby is the Rodin Museum, beautiful garden, sat and admired the statues in the sunshine.
Walked along to Rue de Le Cler a charming pedestrian street with indépendant stores and lovely cafes, had a lovely lunch, we then walked towards the river and visited the Musée d’Orsay , the building was built as a railway station which closed in the 1970s, it’s now a magnificent art gallery, with paintings from the Impressionists
This is a good time to visit Paris, busy but not overcrowded!
A walk back over the Seine through the Jardin de Tuileries, stopping for an aperitif before dinner! Walked our socks off again! Best way to see Paris!
Another wonderful day!
