horns of wilmington's cow

Tireless

Last year the Blackbird pair nested in the palm tree at our back door, and raised two broods. The male was looking rather ragged at the end of it all. Still early days this year (though with both parents tag-teaming in and out with loads of food, there are clearly young that have emerged), so he's looking quite magnificent. I need to get a better shot with his eye, because the yellow-orange eye ring is really popping just now.
