Return to the North

A bloody hot day here in Murch today - AGAIN! Murderously hot I would say although did foolishly get up at the crack of dawn to go do the skyline walk before it got too hot!

This afternoon was the christmas parade - was quite curious just how a small town would manage a christmas parade. There was a good turn out of people in the town and various organizations/individuals had done stalls etc to keep kids entertained, sell their wares etc.
The parade itself wasn't too bad either for a pop of only 600. We had a fire engine, an ambulance, a police car, a Murchison trnasport truck, the vets truck, a float with the playgroup kids on etc etc oh and TeeJay hopped on an old horse and car. I am saying nothing (about old men, old horse and old carts and old....... )

Of all the shots though I liked this one - it is rural life from under the shelter of the Rec Centre stand on a blazing hot Christmas Eve.
