Vantage Point

Yasss! Sunshine, blue skies and a nice breeze. That boat fairly burbled along quite easily at 6.5kts all the way to Thassos town which I remember visiting 23 years ago. So I retraced my steps up to the high points, as you do. Snakes! Only two of them, but quite long - a metre or so. End of nature report. Back to sit in the shade awhile with a coffee before shopping for gifts....
And later, another boat arrives. Doug the American, with his random ill assorted crew of seadogs. So we join them for a fine meal at taverna Simi, overlooking the old harbour. Mussels saganaki washed down with a couple of glasses of Retsina. I’ve discovered that if you order a jug of retsina you get it all to yourself! Strange, that.
