Allium

The alliums are starting to come out now; this is detail from one of them, and I've added the full flower head as an extra.  One thing I have learned from planting these last year is that the size of the bulb is no indication of the size of the plant and flower; I planted one bulb which was by far the largest at the back expecting it to be a focal point but the height and flower have turned out to be amongst the smaller ones.
