Proud Parent

A long and exhausting, but productive, day in Évora, looking for and finding all sorts of things, like a tall enough step ladder, a charger for the caravan battery (that involved a journey out to a neighbouring village to find a man who knows about caravans), and into the centre to a small old-fashioned hardware shop to buy a fly curtain.

But the best was discovering a second-hand bookshop with mostly English books, quite an odd place, with a whole room dedicated to Harry Potter, and not that cheap, but still, a treasure trove (what is a trove??). Made myself feel sick on the way back, getting into the first volume of Doris Lessing's autobiography, Under My Skin, brilliant so far, kept reading bits out to Mike to discuss.

These storks are on the road to Reguengos, there are three storklets, but one wouldn't stick its head up for me.

Gratefuls:
- The Bookmark, "quality preloved books"
- Alentejano scenery, the vines are in full fresh leaf
- feeling proud of our kids
